Meet your friendly guide at 9am at Maroubra Beach to begin your 7km walk around Malabar Headland, including both Boora Point and the Western Escarpment walking track.

You’ll see epic sandstone cliffs with sweeping views up and down the coast. June and July is peak whale season, so keep your eyes peeled for both the humpback and the rare southern right whales.

Both Boora Point and Magic Point are two of the many vantage points along the way. Take in the 360 views over Maroubra Beach and Botany Bay from a natural sandstone platform. Stroll through pristine protected bushland teeming with bird and animal life.

After conquering the cliffside walk, take a break with a complimentary coffee or soft drink at the lovely beachside suburb of Malabar.   Head inland along the Western Escarpment track keeping an eye out for red wattlebirds, New Holland honeyeaters and blue fairy wrens in the heath. You might spot kestrels and sea eagles searching for prey above, as you walk through the endangered eastern suburbs banksia scrub.

Your walk finishes back at Maroubra beach around 11.30am where you will farewell your local guide.  After working up a sweat, you can cool off with a dip in Maroubra Beach or stop for lunch at one of the many cafes or have a picnic at the Arthur Byrne Reserve.
